Metals and Mineral Processing
Written By:
Our laboratory facility includes a wide range of equipment necessary to research, develop and test multiple beneficiation methods of various metals and minerals. Our expertise allows for quick and efficient design-appropriate test programs to meet your required level of detail and budget.

Precious Metals
Sepro Labs began more than a decade ago to fill an industry need for precious metal expertise at the lab scale. We are experts in all mineral processing and recovery methods for precious metals, from gravity concentration to specialty leaching. This includes processing Au, Ag, Pt and Pd using (but not limited to) the following methods:
- Gravity concentration via the Falcon SB, Spiral and Shaking Table
- Flotation via methods for free gold or sulphide-associated gold
- Leaching via cyanide and alternatives, BIOX, POX and roasting

Sulphide Minerals
Sepro Labs is skilled in sulphide flotation. We continually develop methods to improve sulphide recovery and reduce operating costs through continuous gravity concentration and dense media separation. This includes the processing of Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Au, Ag, Mo, Co by the following methods:
- HLS andDMS (bench to pilot)
- Gravity (Falcon C/UF, Spiral, Table)
- Flotation (open batch to locked-cycle)
- Leaching (As removal, BIOX)

Industrial Minerals
We can process minerals such as Cr, Li, Mg, Nb, Ta, Sn, W using the following methods:
- Dense Medium Separation (Bench to Pilot)
- Gravity (Falcon C/UF, Spiral, Table)
- Flotation (open batch to locked-cycle)
- Magnetic separation

Strategic Minerals
We can process minerals such as Cr, Li, Mg, Nb, Ta, Sn, W via HLS andDMS, including the following methods:
- Gravity (Falcon C/UF, Spiral, Table)
- Flotation (open batch to locked-cycle)
- Magnetic separation

Urban Mining
We are world leaders on testing methods for wet processing of Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) and have experience in a variety of methods for metal recovery from E-waste.
